Can you bring food on Seastreak ferry? ›

All Seastreak ferries have a full cash bar serving spirits, beer, wine and soft drinks as well as bagged snacks. We allow passengers to bring food onboard, we just ask that you do not bring hard coolers onboard.

Depending on the starting and ending points, the ride from NJ to NYC can take as few as 6 minutes or as many as 50. The NY Waterway fleet consists of standard double-decker passenger ferries that can hold up to 149 people — that's what we rode — as well as newer, larger boats whose capacity runs to 399.

Can we bring bicycles or cars? Seastreak ferries are passenger ferries and are not equipped to carry vehicles. Bicycles are allowed. There is a $5 charge and the bikes are kept on the outside decks.

Are you allowed to bring food with you? Yes, of course! Actually, you are not only allowed, but you are advised to. To be clear, there are canteens or restaurants on the ferries, where you can find snacks and drinks.

Liberty Landing Ferry operates between the World Financial Center in NYC and Jersey City, NJ. In New Jersey, the ferry makes stops at Liberty Landing Marina in Liberty State Park and Warren Street before returning to the World Financial Center. New York Waterway runs a number of routes between New Jersey and Manhattan.

When can we ride bikes on the boardwalk? Bicycle riding on the Ocean City Boardwalk is generally permitted all day in the off-season. It is restricted to the hours between 5:00 AM and 12:00 PM between June 15th and September 3rd.

Can you drink alcohol on NYC Ferry? ›

Alcoholic beverages are not permitted off the vessel. We ask that you finish your beverage prior to leaving. Please, No outside food or beverages shall be consumed on board NYC Ferry vessels at any time.

The new boats will include concession stands with food and drinks, including alcoholic drinks, modern air conditioning and heating, outlets for charging and free WiFi.

The Island Line ferry could be the shortest ferry ride in the world. Of that there is some debate. A ferry connecting downtown Toronto to its airport involves a 400-foot channel crossing that also takes 90 seconds.

Can you bring water on a ferry? ›

Although most ferries have a snack bar or cafeteria, you don't want to rely on them for your food and drinks and snacks. It is a good idea to bring your own drinks, such as bottles of water, as well as your snacks and meals, to enjoy on board.

Alcohol cannot be brought onboard for consumption. A great selection of alcoholic drinks can be purchased in our outlets onboard. You can, of course, travel with alcholic beverages in your luggage or vehicle.

Many ferries have food and drinks in a dining area. You can order food throughout the trip and alcohol up to 15 minutes before arrival.

Conversation. A face covering is required for our employees unless they're working alone. Our customers are strongly encouraged to wear a mask on our ferries and at terminals... in addition to knowing the rules of the city/county jurisdiction of their destination.

TRAVEL ESSENTIALS

Plan your journey to the port: Passengers must check in at least 60 minutes before departure . If you are checking in with a pet, you must arrive at least 90 minutes before departure.

You can bring as much hand luggage as you can comfortably carry, but it must be packed in a suitcase or bag. No boxes or loose items are acceptable as hand luggage. One small piece of hand luggage will be permitted to be carried with you – the rest will be checked through our luggage handling facility.

For safety reasons passengers are not permitted to remain in their vehicle when the ferry is at sea. Prior to departure the vehicle deck is secured by our crew and access to the deck is not permitted during the crossing.

ISPS - the security code for all ports means that routine security checks on passengers, baggage and vehicles will occur. All passengers must be able to present a valid photo ID upon boarding.
